“I don’t have a motto or anything but I try to be nice to anyone who comes across on a daily basis. Have you felt the greatness of a stranger? I have. One day I was having a bad day, I was pissed off at the world for some reason. I was out in town and it started raining like crazy. So I was like, “Great, now I have to go home in this rain. Makes my day perfect.” Then this old man, who had an umbrella came up to me and said, “You can have it.” He had this gentle smile on his face and he just handed it to me and walked away. I was speechless for a second, it touched me I got teary eyes and all of a sudden I wasn’t feeling crappy anymore because of this man’s kindness. And that’s how I want to be. What made him do that? I don’t know. But I know it made me feel warm inside. So since then whenever someone is being mean to me or rude to me, I don’t give them the same attitude because maybe they are having a bad day, maybe they got yelled at by their boss for a stupid reason, maybe they had a fight with their bf/gf. Shit happens. Well I’m willing to be the only person who is nice and kind to them that day even if I don’t know them personally so that they would feel a bit better.
