good

Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is good… Everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place.

Now as a man is like this or like that,
according as he acts and according as he behaves, so will he be;
a man of good acts will become good, a man of bad acts, bad;
he becomes pure by pure deeds, bad by bad deeds;
And here they say that a person consists of desires,
and as is his desire, so is his will;
and as is his will, so is his deed;
and whatever deed he does, that he will reap.

Karma
Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म; IPA: [ˈkərmə]; Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering. Karma is closely associated with the idea of rebirth in some schools of Asian religions. In these schools, karma in the present affects one’s future in the current life, as well as the nature and quality of future lives – or, one’s saṃsāra.
With origins in ancient India, it is a key concept in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Taoism.

Dhammapada Verses 54 & 55: Against The Wind by Yuttadhammo Bhikkhu

and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
“I don’t see it as a riddle. The album uses the sun and the moon as
symbols; the light and the dark; the good and the bad; the life force as
opposed to the death force. I think it’s a very simple statement saying
that all the good things life can offer are there for us to grasp, but
that the influence of some dark force in our natures prevents us from
seizing them. The song addresses the listener and says that if you, the
listener, are affected by that force, and if that force is a worry to
you, well I feel exactly the same too. The line ‘I’ll see you on the
dark side of the moon’ is me speaking to the listener, saying, ‘I know
you have these bad feelings and impulses because I do too, and one of the ways I can make direct contact with you is to share with you the fact that I feel bad sometimes.”—Roger Waters
