Before his death, Jobs revealed what the ‘i’ in iMac actually stood for, and we’ll have to assume it’s the same thing. He said that it meant ‘internet’, ‘individual’, ‘instruct’, ‘inform’, and ‘inspire’. That said, he also mentioned that it could mean a ‘personal pronoun’, or ‘instruction’ as in education.
