Perhaps the lotus can explain things even better than I. The way they sink themselves into the mud, and then resist orange blight. The lotus thrives on imperfect growing conditions, even using the dark as a time to harbor energy. The lotus always seems to muster up enough energy to toss a bloom out to us. It is as if the lotus flower waves a flag saying, “here I am enjoy me”. Perhaps the lotus can explain things even better than I, and perhaps you can understand if you will just listen close enough to its whisper. Grow where you are. Never waste the sun, but don’t waste the dark either. Use what you have. Show your stuff when you feel like it, but only to someone who will appreciate it. Most important of all, perfection is make believe.
